Corgi Picnic
Throughout the year in various parts of the country, "corgi picnics" are held. Those that benefit CorgiAid (as a fundraiser) will be listed here according to date and location. Please check back periodically for information on the picnic closest to you.
Corgi picnics usually feature fun (games and contests), food (what the corgis and most humans like the very best!) and fundraising. So if you have never attended one, think about helping out CorgiAid and having a wonderful day!
Oh, yes, you don't need a corgi to attend. All other dogs/pets are designated Honorary Corgis for the day!
Just a heads up: May 18 is the preliminary date for the
Redwood Coast Corgi Frolic, in Fort Bragg, CA. This will entail (LOL) a potluck picnic, games, and a silent auction to benefit Corgi Aid. On
the next day, Sunday, there will be a Beach Party, so Corgis should
bring their surfboards.

All Corgis: Pembrokes, Cardigans, and Corgi mixes are welcome. All dogs must have current vaccines. Corgis must be on leash or in an x-pen. Silent auction for Corgi-Aid; a corgi and pet-related craft sales booth; corgi costume contests - for adults and kids; corgi games.
Door prizes, too!
Bring your own lunch and drinks (NO ALCOHOL) You must furnish your own silverware and paper plates.
OPTIONAL - Bring a dessert/sweet treat to share!
There is also a big lake there for anyone wanting to fish. Walking trails around the lake. Lots of grass area with lots of trees with a covered area in case of rain.

Come one, come all to the 5th annual Philly Area Corgi picnic. The details are as follows:
Date: Saturday, June 6, 2009
Time: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Location: Hibernia Park, Coatsville PA
Cost: $15 per family
We will have corgi games, including bobbing for hot dogs and a costume contest. We will also have lots of good food and a silent auction for CorgiAid. If you want more information or want to sign up please go to Yahoogroups and join PhillyAreaCorgis.
We ask that everyone bring a food dish to share and an item for the silent auction.
All proceeds from the picnic go to benefit CorgiAid.
Last year we had people from as far away as New Hampshire and Toronto, Canada and we raised over $1000 for CorgiAid. Come and join the fun.
If you cannot make it to the picnic but would like to donate to our silent auction, please contact me at corgimom@comcast.net for the address to send the auction items to. If you are a vendor of corgi or dog related items, I will be happy to place your business cards with your donated items so people can contact you.

We will provide beverages. You're welcome to bring a snack
to share, but please be prepared to take leftovers with you,
as we always have more than needed.
PLEASE RSVP by 5/27 so we know how big a Costco run to make.

One small clarification: this is just a get-together, and
not the "official" Corgi Picnic. That will happen sometime
late July, early August and will include an auction for
Corgi-Aid at that time. Same place, though.

Cascade Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club Annual Funday
